Folklore: From the Start, I’m a Baby and Mother Sheds Her Painted Skin

[Baby's-Eye-View Story] [Folklore] [Eerie]

Folklore turns eerie, and evil spirits rise up everywhere.

You open your eyes and discover that you've become a baby, with tiny hands and feet, soft and fair.

Before you stands a painted-skin ghost, facing a bronze mirror as she pulls human skin over her flesh-and-blood body.

You think you're an evil spirit, so you do your utmost to hide your identity among humankind, living in constant fear of being discovered.

But to her, you are her only hope.

Because you are the only child she, a painted-skin ghost, has ever given birth to...

You thought you were doomed, but fortunately, you come with a status panel that lets you add a point to your stats once a day.

From childhood, you become a prodigy in the eyes of the human race's [Underworld Walkers].

By your youth, you're strong enough to move mountains and shake peaks, with nothing in this world able to stop you.

By adulthood, you're the most powerful being in this world.

Every day when you wake, you're a little stronger than the day before. You're the nightmare of every evil spirit, and in the eyes of every [Underworld Walker], you're the uncrowned emperor.

But no matter what, before going to sleep each night, you never forget to tell her, "Good night, Mother. See you tomorrow."
