Reborn as the Powerful Minister's Beloved Vermilion Mole

Zheng Nianru rose from a princess who could be killed at any moment to the position of Empress Dowager, wielding power over all under heaven. What she could not accept was that she had ultimately met a miserable end. But Zheng Nianru believed that no one could have saved the Southern Zheng Kingdom in her place.

Yet she was reborn, and after much reflection, she reconsidered a few of the mistakes she had made in her previous life. First, she should not have married down into a petty household, taking Ju Nanyi, a narrow-minded man, as her husband. He cared only for romance and making love with her, and was not fit to help govern the Southern Zheng Kingdom. Second, she should not have slaughtered everyone at Qiandao Temple. They were the spiritual pillar of the people of Southern Zheng, and surely there had been a better way, like seduction. Third, she should not have been so sure the ruler of the neighboring kingdom would fall at her feet. Believing the promises of that duplicitous ruler had led to years of conflict between the two kingdoms.

Well, Zheng Nianru did not think she was in the wrong. She had only wanted to live well and be a good Empress Dowager. Since she had been given another life, why had she been reborn? Did they expect her to turn the Southern Zheng Kingdom upside down all over again?
