I Led the Whole Village Out of Poverty

Hushan Village, a provincially designated poverty-stricken village, had already seen three poverty-alleviation officials come and go, yet it remained stubbornly resigned to its fate.

After days of torrential rain, a handsome young man arrived in the village, carrying a bag and covered in mud from a fall.

He said he was the new official assigned to the village.

None of the villagers watching the spectacle expected that their lives would begin to change from that day on.
