The Poison Queen's Rebirth Plan

[Inside the Cold Splendor Palace]

"Sister, do you know how disgusted the emperor is by your pretty, arrogant face?" Jin Rong laughed so hard she swayed, mocking her. "After every night with him, you bathe and change your clothes. Do you think the emperor is so filthy, so unworthy of touching you?"

"You're imagining things."

Jin Rong basked in her hard-won victory. "Even your half-sister is better than you. Look how well she knows how to please the emperor. She's one of the Four Consorts now, and I've heard Mother has replaced your mother as the Left Chancellor's principal wife. Look at you, such a failure, brought low by the very people you despised. How does it feel?"

"What's it to you?"

In her previous life, she had been blind to his potential, never realizing he would become emperor. She mocked him and mistook a pearl for a piece of trash. In the end, she failed in the palace intrigues without his protection. She had it coming!

Now reborn, she had a chance to start over. If she could defeat you in her last life, how could she fall behind now? She would just have to be a little more discreet.

Consort Jin, look. Anyone can act innocent.

The men's struggle for success:

Jiu Yanluo:

He was born lowly but raised in the deep palace. He clawed his way to power over dignity and bloodshed. Romance was nothing but garbage!

Wait, what? His Yue-jiejie likes a lively atmosphere, singing, and dancing? Fine, everyone come and entertain his Yue-jiejie!

You can't sing? You can't dance? You can't even tell a joke? Then why did you come to the palace? Drown!

Xuan Tianji:

He kept to the court's shadows, secretly held the power of life and death, and could summon the wind and rain, turning the powerful upside down. He couldn't understand why she had to ruin all his carefully laid schemes!

"Do we have a grudge?"

"One that cuts to the bone."

"But you used up so much of my ink when we were children, and I never blamed you."

"..."

"Besides, you should know your father has already proposed to my father!"

Qi Yue's eyes flew open. She stared at him as if she'd seen a ghost! The only connection between us is that, in your past life, you sent me the decree stripping me of my title as empress!

Rui Fengye:

The heir to the Loyal Prince's household, a peerless beauty with a sinister, unfathomable nature. Out of regard for his fiancée, he treated Jiu Yanluo well and believed he had taught him everything. He never expected the enemy he had least regarded to be the one to stab him in the back.

His only wish was for every man except Jiu Yanluo to die!
