A Spy by Profession in the Chinese Entertainment Industry

As a reborn man with a career panel, Ji Yu is an actor. So why does the System only reward him with spy skills?

After Ji Yu finishes playing a random fruit-stall owner, the System gives him another reward: disguise.

Ji Yu is utterly dismayed by the skill. His career panel clearly says he’s an actor!

Career: Actor

Skills: Stealth, disguise, surveillance, voice mimicry, eavesdropping, hacking, covert photography, tailing, combat, driving...

System Shop: Stamina potions, obedience potions, truth serum, trackers, hidden cameras, bugs, drones, night-ops outfits, universal lock picks, thermal imagers...

Are these really supposed to be an actor’s career skills?!

Fine, fine! You’re forcing me to stop acting like a decent person, huh?

Who says actors have to rely on their acting? Ji Yu is the first to disagree!

From then on, Ji Yu’s catchphrase changed.

“You wouldn’t want your secrets getting out, would you?”
