Wake up for the Seventh Time
"The Thirteenth Step" is a weird Chinese novel that combines psychological thriller and urban legend. It uses "space alienation" as the core image. It tells the story of unemployed young man Lin Mo who moves into a cheap old apartment and discovers that the stairs will "grow" a thirteenth step in the early morning, and the person who steps on this step will forever become a part of the building.
