Long and Short Hatred
Lai Weichen, the younger brother of Lai Junchen, a cruel official in the Tang Dynasty, was still childless in his sixties and had one wife and four concubines at home. Lai Weichen invited monk Ji Xihua into his house to chant sutras and pray for a son. However, Ji Xihua had an affair with Lai Weichen's fourth concubine and second maid, which eventually led to the death of one of the concubines. Qu Yan, the Minister of War, captured and beheaded the monk Ji Xihua.

Embroidered Ge Robe
