A Slow Flow of Water, a Book That Tells Stories with Heart

细水长流,用心讲故事的书

Being able to tell a story completely and being able to treat every character with care are two important criteria for me to choose books. Regardless of whether the plot is novel or not, being able to tell the story is the most important thing. No matter what the fate of the character is, as long as it's reasonable, at least it won't look too depressing. Even if a good book is full of blood, it can still arouse the enthusiasm of readers. Build one during the event and fill it up slowly

As a community worker, Yang Decheng accidentally returned to ancient times because of his conscientious work and became the most unpopular illegitimate son of the Ding family, Ding Hao. Ding Hao, who has no power or wealth and works as a coachman for his half-brother, also has a dream, which is to become a happy and prosperous young man in this evil society and spend his life in peace. Although his dream is a bit far away, Ding Hao doesn't take it seriously. Relying on the social experience accumulated from his community work, Ding Hao is able to deal with people and things in the world. He smartly seizes every opportunity around him, escapes from the cage, and strives for everything he wants to have. The overt and covert battles in the Song Dynasty, the joys and sorrows of Li Yu in the Southern Tang Dynasty, Xiao Chuo's ambition in the Northern Kingdom, the secret of the Golden Chamber Alliance, the mystery of the ax shadow shaking red, Chen Tuan's exquisite victory over Mount Huashan, the eternal regret of Gaoliang River... The mountains and rivers are like paintings, the beauties are like poems, and the world of Saha is filled with lotus flowers every step of the way.

As for Yueguan's books, aside from the famous work "Return to the Ming Dynasty to Be a Prince", the one that left a deep impression on me was "Step by Step, a Lotus". It was also a book I read a long time ago. I can't remember the plot clearly. I do remember one of the female protagonists, her name was Zhe Ziyu, she was so cute. Personally speaking, when I read Yue Guan's book, I was attracted by the faint romance in it. Although it is indeed a bit of a stud, and there is an inexplicable twelve hairpins in "Hui Ming", but basically, the interaction between the protagonist and each female character is quite reasonable, and the love, hate and hatred are also interesting. Besides this one, Yue Guan's other books are also pretty good. My personal favorites are "Night Walk in Jin Yi", "The Age of Great Controversy" which is also pretty good, and of course the famous "Return to the Ming Dynasty to Become a Prince". I have read half of "Drunk Pillow" and found it not to my taste. I have not read the rest and will not comment.
