Science fiction × suspense × horror. Seven grotesque, bloody, ferocious and curious visions of the future, a feast for the senses that involves peeling off skin, sucking bones, and disemboweling the body. There are women who control everything and are dominated by desire, and there are men who sacrifice their bodies for love and are willing to become the other. Gender reversal, apocalyptic plague, alien invasion, pheromone control... Many science fiction settings like thought experiments reflect the real situation of marginalized people through flipping and deformation. When human beings lose control of their bodies, and when the language system that is regarded as a symbol of civilization completely collapses, is it necessary to regain control or abandon self-centeredness and accept more advanced intelligent life? By witnessing disaster, fear, oppression, and injustice, hidden corners are illuminated and different paths of survival are explored.

Because "he did not shed tears at his mother's funeral," he was sentenced to death by the court in the name of "the French people."

"It's Summer Outside" is Jin Ae-ran's fourth short story collection, which includes seven works in total. Most of the protagonists in the story are experiencing "loss", losing their children, losing their father, losing someone who can communicate with them in their native language... Jin Ae-ran seems to intentionally crush the pain of all kinds of losses and evenly distribute it between the lines, so that the pain hits the readers' hearts from time to time. In this book, the author still maintains his role as an observer and recorder of urban life, and his narrative is plain and close to life. "It's Summer Outside" is the winning work of the 48th Dongren Literary Award, among which "The Silent Future" and "Where Do You Want to Go" won the author the 37th Lixiang Literary Award and the 8th Young Writers Award respectively. This time it is included in the "Collection of Jin Ailan's Works" and Di'an, winner of China's "People's Literature Award·Novel Award", is invited to write a preface.

9Invisible City

The first edition of "Invisible Cities" was published in November 1972 by Einaudi Verlag in Turin. At the time of the book's publication, from late 1972 to early 1973, Calvino had spoken about it in several newspaper articles and interviews. The following is an introduction to this new edition of the "Oscar" series using words from a lecture given by Calvino in a master's class in writing at Columbia University in New York on March 29, 1983. The lecture was originally in English, but the Italian text is used here. It is based on two interviews conducted in 1972 and 1973 and has mostly not been published in Italy. There is no recognizable city in "Invisible Cities". All the cities are fictitious; I gave each of them a woman's name. The book is organized into short chapters, each of which should provide an opportunity to reflect on a particular city, or cities in general.
