Reborn as a Virtuous Empress: Your Majesty, Take a Consort

In her previous life, she was the notorious wicked empress of the Great Zhou dynasty: she bullied the consorts, harmed the imperial heirs, flew into jealous rages, and was cruel and spiteful.

In this life...

At a poetry gathering: “Your Majesty, I think Miss Dong is both talented and beautiful. She would make a fine addition to the imperial harem.”

At the autumn examinations: “Your Majesty, I think the daughter of Vice Minister Huang is spirited and graceful. She would make a fine addition to the imperial harem.”

At a state banquet: “Your Majesty, I think Lord Bai’s daughter is beautiful and dignified. She would make a fine addition to the imperial harem.”

Even the most hidebound old officials were full of praise: “A man should marry a virtuous wife. Her Majesty the Empress is gracious and magnanimous, a role model for all women under heaven.”

The consorts, usually so calculating and deceitful, looked at her with admiration. “Her Majesty the Empress is the most beautiful, noble, and kind mistress we have ever known.”
