Malice from the Great Cang Sword Sect

Hidden Sword Manor existed during the Tang dynasty. The Tang people prized martial prowess, and the slightest disagreement could end in a fight. They were arrogant too: what was mine was mine, and what was yours was mine as well.

What was society like in the world of Dream of the Red Chamber?

It valued civil pursuits and looked down on martial ones. The entire court, from top to bottom, was weak and spineless. Apart from a handful of military officers and ministers, nearly everyone was the sort who could only huddle in a corner and cry when bullied, perhaps discussing whether they could pay their way out of trouble.

This is the story of a little yellow chick from the Great Hidden Sword Manor, hopping about in such a pathetic society.
