Fuqi

Song Qi grew up amid arguments between her grandmother and mother:

At birth, Grandmother: This child looks blessed. Let us call her Fu Niu.

Mother rolled her eyes: Call her Qi'er, meaning blessed.

In the end, Master Song had the final say: her formal name would be Song Qi, and her childhood name Fu Jie's.

At ten, Grandmother: Spin and weave, and she will never lack food or drink.

Mother: With mastery of the four arts, she will never have to worry about marrying well.

In the end, she mastered music, chess, calligraphy, painting, needlework, and embroidery, excelling at everything.

At fifteen, Grandmother: A childhood sweetheart, with deep and devoted feelings.

Mother: A prestigious family, fine clothes, and exquisite food.

In the end, Song Qi said: Can I make one decision for myself?
