Hua Xu died, dying in the arms of the man she had loved all her life and hated all her life. Before darkness closed in, She had thought she would feel hatred and resentment, hating his callousness and ambition, blaming her own stubbornness and wilfulness. But she felt neither. Little by little, it melted the ice around her heart and reminded her that she had once been happy.
