The Swordless Way of the Sword

Xiao Xinyu’s parents were murdered when he was ten. Grief-stricken, he unexpectedly found a final letter and a sword manual inside a sword case. The letter declared that only by winning the World Swordsmanship Championship could he find his parents’ killer! And the sword manual…

From then on, he sought out renowned masters and challenged one opponent after another, until at last he achieved enlightenment by a winter lake and discovered the swordsmanship that was his alone. But when he gave everything he had to win the World Swordsmanship Championship, he discovered…

Japan’s six major schools of swordsmanship, West Germany’s Frenzied Slash School, India’s agile swordsmanship, the polar regions’ icebound qi sword…

The talent-packed Huaxia Cup Sword Fighting Tournament, Japan’s global swordsmanship championship with undercurrents of intrigue, the underground sword-fighting tournament where every match is a fight to the death…

“What? He’s facing a powerful opponent and still hasn’t drawn his sword!”

“Look! He dodged Miyamoto’s signature move, ‘Three Thrusts Like the Gale.’ His sword is moving!”

“Beep!”

The match was over. Xiao Xinyu defeated his opponent with a single move, and no one knew whether Miyamoto was alive or dead.

“What they call the way of the sword is the path of the sword. But I, Xiao Xinyu, have created the way of the swordless!”
