I’m Not Going Home Tonight

I'm a successful company general manager, born in the 1980s. Every day, I'm surrounded by flowers and applause. Yet beneath that glamorous image, I often feel deeply alone. I've grown tired of this life.

At last, one day, I took off my business clothes, packed my bags, and set off for the distant desert I'd long yearned to visit. Along the way, I met Guo Qing'er, a housewife, and Pei Xiaofeng, a college student. The three of us agreed not to ask about one another's private lives, not even our names. We would simply be travel companions.

As we grew closer on the journey, all three of us began wanting to know more about one another. We decided to hire a guide and explore the Taklamakan Desert, hoping to glimpse its grandeur and vast, unselfish beauty. But just then, a sandstorm scattered us. When we awoke, each of us had done something astonishing…

The beautiful general manager's romantic troubles? Her confusion about sex? Or Qing'er's unconventional life? Perhaps the burden too great for young Pei Xiaofeng to bear?

From the bustling city to the desolate desert, each of us was ready for a journey of the soul.

Tonight, I'm not going home...
