Exploring Gravity

I do not blame the drifting clouds for settling deep in the fields; even in deep mud, a wise root can take hold. In winter, the pure lotus root hides, its fragrance preserved; in summer, the green lotus blooms, its petals the skirts of a fairy maiden.① Cranes dance along the long riverbank as clouds drift down; orioles sing in emerald willows, following the clear stream. By moonlight, I sing as my heart soars; at dawn, I chant beneath the clear, warm sky, with wine laid out.② I turn the celestial globe to seek jade seeds, gaze at the stars to find a worthy beauty. A celestial raft drifts freely across the skies; magpies fly together in a wondrous spring of colors. I return to the green star to seek a dear friend, then offer verse and rhyme to a loyal soul. A virtuous maiden in the Moon Palace weaves fine prose; her poetic heart, steeped in mountains and rivers, bears a hundred hardships.③ Only by treating the robots they create as equals, and caring for them as they would their own family, can humans bring out their full potential. Only by deeply uniting with all highly intelligent beings in the universe can humans rise to a new level.
