The Woman in the Teahouse

Xiang Na made a fortune in real estate sales, raking in bucket after bucket of gold before opening the Lily Tea House.

The Lily Tea House became a place for officials and businesspeople to discuss work. Young and old alike enjoyed sitting in its five-story building, listening to soothing music and songs, then leaning back in their seats with their eyes closed to ease the stress of work.

The Lily Tea House's waitstaff were always ready to answer calls from the private rooms. As soon as a landline rang, a customer service representative would answer and send a server to assist in the tea house's private rooms.

The Lily Tea House's chairwoman, Xiang Lili, sat in her office with her eyes fixed on customer reviews on her computer, replying to every one. Customers who gave the servers a hard time were the Lily Tea House's gods.

The floor manager, Tang Yan, had started out as a restaurant server. Later, she changed jobs and was hired as the Lily Tea House's general manager.

The Lily Tea House had now also become a place for older men and women to meet in secret. As they sipped tea, they talked about love and romance between men and women. Among them were people having affairs. They entered private rooms to listen to songs and sing, basking in the cheerful atmosphere as they poured out their heartfelt stories of true love.
