Where All Things Return

In ancient times, the world was One, whole and undivided. Later, the One's "Manifestations" shattered, and its fragments entered the Fourteen Gates of the Myriad Manifestations, drifting through the mortal world and randomly attaching themselves to people. These people became Manifestation Sensitives.

Manifestation Sensitives wielded different manifestation powers, which could reinforce or counter one another. Lu Zhibai was born a plain mortal with no manifestation of his own, yet he could contain every manifestation and connect everyone.

He was where all manifestations came to rest.
