Reborn in 1998: Starting by Rescuing a Bankrupt Factory

Chen Yu opened his eyes and found himself back in the winter of 1998. His father hadn't been paid, the family had just 800 yuan in savings, and a notice at the factory gates announced that "all employees are being sent on extended leave."

In his previous life, he had died suddenly at a testing bench. This time, in an era before the next big wave had even taken off, he would use a factory on the verge of bankruptcy as his starting capital and secure China's entire industrial chain, from machine tools and telecommunications to chips, twenty years ahead of schedule.

Everyone thought he was crazy. Only he knew that the internet bubble would burst in eighteen months, and China would join the WTO in three years. Every bout of worldwide madness would be the next purchase on his ledger.
