Marriage Therapy Room

Jiang Wanxing has worked as a divorce lawyer for six years. She never expected that the last case of her career would be her own divorce.

In court, she pressed her cheating lawyer husband at every turn and sent him home in a crushing defeat. Afterward, the AI center he founded kicked her off the team.

Unwilling to give up, she decides to start over with her grandmother, beginning in a marriage counseling office.

So she packs her suitcase and returns to her hometown.

She had avoided this city for many years. When she was thirteen, her mother died of an illness, and her father remarried less than six months later. Since then, she has never believed marriage could bring anything good.

But here in this city, inside this counseling office, she sees cases of dowry scams and husbands who poison their wives. She also meets husbands who have cared for their first wives for decades, and elderly couples who have stayed together throughout their golden anniversaries. These cases show her both the worst of marriage and, little by little, what is most precious about it.

Gradually, she changes from a lawyer who believes only in winning into a counselor who understands people; from a daughter who resented her father for over a decade into a daughter who helps support him; from someone determined to return to the big city and prove herself into someone willing to stay and keep their little shop going.
