Douluo Dalu: The Qian Clan Ancestor Rises from His Coffin

"I, Qian Renxue, descendant of the Qian family, pay my respects to my great-grandfather."

The man in the portrait was named Qian Wushuang. He was Qian Daoliu's father, and a legendary figure of the Qian family, long buried by the passage of time.

"Grandfather, just how powerful was Great-Grandfather?"

Qian Daoliu gazed at the portrait and remained silent for a long while.

"If he were still here, I wouldn't have to bear so many things alone."

After the two left, the mountain mausoleum fell silent once more.

Only when night came did the first heartbeat sound from inside the stone coffin.

Qian Wushuang awoke.

Back then, he had entered seclusion as a level-ninety-nine Peerless Douluo, yet the world believed he had already died.

His grandson Qian Xunji was dead, his son Qian Daoliu had sacrificed himself, and his great-granddaughter Qian Renxue had lost her godhood.

The Spirit Hall, protected by generations of the Qian family, was about to be utterly destroyed.

Qian Wushuang pushed open the coffin lid and walked down the mountain.

At that moment, the people of Shrek had yet to make a name for themselves in Heaven Dou City, while Bibi Dong was still plotting her path to godhood.

No one knew that the Qian family's ancestor, who should have been dead long ago, had returned.

Not until Shrek's vaunted methods failed one after another before him.

Not until Qian Renxue, disguised as Xue Qinghe, saw his face.

"That face... How can it be the same as the one in the portrait?"

Not until Qian Daoliu stood before Spirit Hall, gazing at the familiar figure, and forgot he was the Great Enshrined.

"Father?"

Only then did Bibi Dong realize that the name which should have existed only in the Qian family genealogy had become someone she could not ignore.

Qian Wushuang returned and placed a file concerning Qian Xunji's death in front of Bibi Dong.

"Let's start with this. Explain everything."

As for the inevitable ending in which the Qian family was destroyed, from the night the coffin lid was pushed open, that fate no longer applied.
