Douluo: Fishing Rod Martial Soul, Reeling In the Snow Empress at the Start

Yang Xingchen, an experienced fishing enthusiast, accidentally transmigrates to Douluo Dalu and awakens the Time-Space Fishing Rod as his Martial Soul, with innate Soul Power at level six.

While everyone else is busy hunting Soul Rings and competing over talent, he grabs a folding stool and goes fishing.

"If my Martial Soul is a fishing rod, it must feel great to fish with, right?"

On his first cast, he doesn't catch a fish. Instead, he reels in a sealed Snow Empress Embryo from the Conferred God Platform.

Yang Xingchen: This is bad. Did I just catch a nuclear bomb?

As it turns out, the Snow Empress Embryo merges with him of its own accord, becoming his Second Martial Soul.

Snow Empress: I can absorb this world's Snow Empress too, and reach the level of a million-year Soul Beast.

From then on, with Ultimate Ice at his command, Yang Xingchen casts a line through the timeline and reels in heaven-defying opportunities. With another flick of his rod, he trounces Tang San and his gang.

Hundred Thousand Year Soul Bones, all kinds of immortal herbs, Godhood Inheritances... there's nothing Yang Xingchen can't catch.

Years later, someone interviews Yang Xingchen, founder of the Douluo God Realm, creator of the Undead Plane, father of Soul Tools, architect of the Soul Power system, and the strongest person alive:

"How did you make it all the way to where you are today?"

Yang Xingchen lifts his teacup and calmly takes a sip.

"I don't know. I just fish and drink tea every day, and somehow I became a god who ushered in a new era."
