Addicted to the Allure of the Capital

[Flirting and teasing each other + obsessive big shot + lighthearted, sweet romance + clear-headed flirt + long-laid plans]

At a drinking party, Chi Yao was tipsy from being plied with alcohol, so she escaped into an unlocked private room on the top floor.

A man sat inside, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a dark suit. He watched her with a cold gaze.

His face was so handsome that it sobered her up a little.

Anyone else would have run for it, but she wasn't about to.

Fueled by alcohol, she found her courage, hooked a finger into the man's tie, leaned close to his ear, and called out in a sweet, coquettish voice. The man's cold expression, which had lasted all evening, shattered on the spot.

The next day, Chi Yao learned that the man she'd flirted with was Si Yuheng, the youngest and most untouchable chairman of the Jinghe Group.

She pretended not to know him, but he came around every day to "collect his debt."

He gave her clothes, returned her earrings, brought her late-night snacks, and gave her a car, placing one thing after another in her hands.

She accepted it all without a second thought, while flirting with him even more boldly, then running off.

In the grown-up world, playing around physically is fine, but catching feelings is a disaster.

What she didn't know was this: she thought she was fishing, but she was the fish, being drawn into the net one step at a time.

Much later, Chi Yao finally learned that night had never been an accident.

He had been setting his trap for a long time, waiting for her to walk right into it.

He had spent eight years laying that trap.
