Across the Spear: Blue Glory and the Fogbound Pass of Guandong

A flower on the jianghu road, Hengge and Lanrong are one family.

When all under heaven returns, Lan goes back to the water. The waters flood the Five Elements, and all return to the Eight Trigrams.

Hengge and Lanrong, the four great families of Guandong: trace their ancestry back far enough, and they're all one family. For a hundred years, whoever rules the Northeast needs the approval of all four. The Japanese are sharpening their knives beyond the passes. The rules of the jianghu are all contained in this flower.

The four families look united as an iron plate, but each has its own schemes beneath the surface. Fifteen years ago, on a snowy night, Mr. Shui died on a small road. There has only ever been one Mr. Shui in each generation. As the Eight Trigrams Tower's representative, he was responsible for mediating disputes. After his death, the tower vanished, and the key to the "undersea jianghu" was lost.

The key hangs around Chen Yan's neck: a longevity lock concealing the Eight Trigrams Tower's ancestral register. It records the lineages, skills, and grudges of everyone in the jianghu. Whoever possesses it becomes the chief of the martial world.

Chen Yan is Mr. Shui's son. His parents died in a ruined kiln, and the lock was placed in his swaddling clothes. He grew up scavenging garbage. His hearing is so sharp he can make out fourteen layers of springs, and with a single copper file, he can pick any lock in the world. The schemes of the four families, the accounts of the marshal's residence, and the hooks the Japanese planted fifteen years ago are all after the lock around his neck.

Fog shrouds Guandong. The world is about to change.
