Reborn in a Doomsday Territory

In the fifth year of the apocalypse, Lin Zhao died at the hands of her own people.

For five years, she managed the Dawn Base's food supplies and repaired its walls, keeping more than three thousand elderly and infirm people alive, one meal at a time, through zombies and natural disasters. On the day the city fell, the gunman wasn't an enemy. It was the leader of the base she'd protected for five years. The finger on the trigger belonged to a father whose daughter was being held hostage. She fell into the floodwaters and was dragged into the abyss by a horde of corpses, but in her palm she clutched a black stone that should not have existed in this world.

When she opened her eyes again, she was back 183 days before the apocalypse began.

Given another chance, she would trust neither saviors nor order, nor any promise. She would get rich, stockpile supplies, and claim land before anyone else, turning an abandoned mine into the strongest fortress in the apocalypse.

But she soon discovered two things:

The "future" in her mind was starting to go wrong, and another reborn person was hiding in this out-of-control future. One meant to protect, the other to destroy.

From a safe house to a city. While everyone else fought for a bite to eat in the apocalypse, she was rebuilding civilization.
