The Welder

Born with a spiritual bone, he had his immortal bone ripped out by his own fiancee at the age of nineteen and was thrown into the Abyss of Return.

He didn't die.

Beneath the abyss, he lived through a hundred cycles of reincarnation. He was a doctor, a blacksmith, a death-row inmate, an old monk, a swordsman. He died a hundred times and lived a hundred times, tempering an indestructible tribulation body.

When he opened his eyes again, he was back in the human world.

She had refined his immortal bone into a sword. Every night, that sword called his name again and again from within the Sword Pavilion.

In this life, he wants no immortal bone and relies on no talent. With a dead branch and the sword intent of a hundred lifetimes, he'll collect everything owed to him, with interest.

Someone asked him, "What are you guarding this door for?"

He said, "Behind it is the Abyss of Return. Beyond it are all living beings. If the door cracks, I'll weld it shut."
