The Arrogant Immortal Lord Lost His Memory and Won't Let Go of Me

"You think he'll leave you once he regains his memories."

"The truth is, once he remembers, he'll be even more afraid that you'll leave him."

Lu Pianran transmigrates into a book about a domineering male lead, becoming the doomed Dao companion he takes while suffering from amnesia.

According to the original story:

A year later, his sect comes looking for him. One Soul-Gathering Pill restores his memories, and

he immediately abandons the original heroine, turning her into the most tragic joke in the entire book.

Lu Pianran is forced to play out the whole plot, and happens to be at the part where she feeds him the pill.

She takes it well, and is even a little excited.

It's not that she dislikes this Dao companion.

During his amnesia, Su Linyuan has been practically perfect. It's just that his cultivation is far beyond hers, and he's much too clingy.

As a cultivator accustomed to being on her own, she simply can't handle his passionate, incessant attention day and night.

So, let the plot take its course.

Lu Pianran coaxes him into swallowing the pill, then waits quietly.

She waits for memories to surge into his eyes, for him to become that noble, serene Immortal Lord who looked down upon the world once more,

for him to politely and distantly say:

"Thank you for taking care of me, miss. From now on, let us go our separate ways."

But...

The pill goes down, and the young man's memories return.

The next moment, he catches her around the waist just as she's about to pull away, looks down at her, and smiles with an almost obsessive boldness.

"Wife, where do you think you're going?"

Lu Pianran: "I was letting you go... Huh?"

That's not how the plot is supposed to go!

If Su Linyuan had known that his seclusion to purge the demonic influence would cost him his wife,

he would have rather fallen to demonic cultivation right then, torn open space, and brought his wife back to life.

If she were his amnesiac wife, already promised to someone else, then he'd just take her back.

Transmigration into a book, with a twist on the usual tropes / Fake cultivation, real romance / An intensely devoted male lead

A laid-back, carefree, easygoing female cultivator x A cold, proud Immortal Lord who's actually clingy, twisted, and a hypocrite
