The Mechanic of the End Times

The ocean swallowed the land. Long-neglected airships became humanity's main mode of transportation, and people hid on sheets of paper floating in the sky. Even so, the deep sea was always closing in on humanity. As sea levels rose, many floating islands sank beneath the waves.

To obtain the only energy source for these ancient airships, "Black Ice," humanity had no choice but to venture back into the deep sea... Year after year, day after day.

[Year 560 of the New Era: Humanity launched a great deep-sea expedition. A million engineers headed for the deep sea, for Black Ice! For all mankind!]

[Year 890 of the New Era: The blueprints were lost, and the engineers disappeared. No one knew how to maintain the equipment. Any machine that was even slightly damaged had to be scrapped, and the people left behind could only pray that the remaining equipment would last another year.]

[Year 1444 of the New Era: Long after the engineers had vanished... a group calling themselves "Priests" stepped forward. Their skills may have been crude, but they could at least keep the machines running.]

Captain Lin Shichu, who transmigrated here, used the Captain's Manual, imbued with endless magic, to become... humanity's sole savior (crossed out), the one and only heretic.

What the hell? How is adding a fuse blasphemy?
