The Immortal Accountant of Two Worlds

Ye Cheng, a discarded nobody with an ordinary mortal's body, is sent by his family to work as a bookkeeper for one of their trading houses. By chance, he obtains a copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas: The Two Realms. Its left page connects to a spirit-filled realm, while its right page leads to Earth in the Age of Declining Dharma. Using his lifespan as fuel, he can trade goods between the two worlds. He swaps scrap iron for gold and copper coins for spirit pills, relying on a ledger and a single abacus bead to carve out a path to the heavens amid the struggle between immortal sects and demonic cults. While others cultivate immortality with spiritual roots, he does it by keeping accounts. This is a thousand-year game of strategy in which an ordinary man uses his wits to topple geniuses.
