The Troubles That Come After Awakening

Wu You's current goal is simple: finish the college entrance exams and lie flat in peace.

Until she sees an old man wearing Nike sneakers vanish into thin air at the market, and a black dog the size of a truck suddenly pops out of her shadow and carries her on a space jump across cities.

When she gets home, her parents calmly come clean: "Oh, right. We're Awakened."

So I'm the only person in the whole world who didn't know?!

The official test report is crystal clear: F-rank, the lowest level, safe and harmless.

Her parents pat her shoulder in relief. "Great! F-rank is good. F-rank is safe. You can keep being a couch potato."

Wu You: ... All right.

But the dog in her shadow doesn't seem to agree with that rating. Her childhood friend, Yin Yanyan, speaks with a hesitant, hard-to-read tone. The people at the registration office look at her as if she's some rare animal.

Later, someone from an unspeakable government department shows up at her door with a kind smile. "How about enrolling through special admission, young lady? We'll cover room and board, and even give you a custom training package."

"I'm really F-rank..."

And her dog doesn't seem like an ordinary dog, either.

So much for my F-rank, lie-flat life. Doggo, why are you rolling your eyes at me again?
