I, Napoleon, Reboot France

A modern history professor wakes up as a young Napoleon. The French fleet has just been blown to pieces by the British at Aboukir Bay, and tens of thousands of French soldiers are trapped in the Egyptian desert.

But he has no intention of following the historical script.

Beneath the curved sabers of the Mamluk cavalry, he forms a square of bayonets. At a tea party with Cairo's merchants, he trades glassware for food. Beneath the walls of Acre, he rolls his cannons into the sea and says, "Let the British learn to dive." Using a modern mind, he does things Napoleon never did: handing out watermelons to soldiers, opening clinics for civilians, and pouring tea for sheikhs.

But then news arrives from Paris. The Directory has rotted to the core, and the Coalition is sharpening its knives. He has to return.

This time, he must not only win the war, but rewrite Europe's fate entirely.

"Forty centuries look down on us from the pyramids."

But those forty centuries have never seen a Napoleon like this.
