Nameless Color

Shen Yan, the owner of a folk kiln, and Xie Lingyi, the daughter of an official, became connected because of a kiln named Tianqing and a pair of blue orchid hairpins. They were torn apart bit by bit by the system of craftsmen's registration, kiln introduction, demotion, and imperial approval. Ten years later, Tianqing was fired, and they were no longer there. The whole book uses "the utensils outlive the people" to describe a deep love that has been crushed by the times.
