Flying Against the Wind: Jinan Rebellion and Fraudulent Records

Late at night, sixty-seven-year-old Wang Xiulan received a call that her grandson had been in a car accident. Overnight, she was defrauded of all the 8,000 yuan she had saved for school fees after three years of picking up scraps. Lin Xi, a grid worker, faced the old man who was crying until he lost his voice, determined to find out the fraud gang. She knocked on the door of Wei Mingyuan, a 72-year-old inheritor of kite intangible cultural heritage. Wei Mingyuan guarded a red butterfly kite that was used to convey information in 1948 and was closed to outsiders for seventy years. Lin Xi used two boxes of leeks to open a crack. When the scammers extended their black hands to the elderly living alone in the entire community, a watch code of "Red Butterfly" and "White Butterfly" began to hang quietly on every window sill of Shunhua Community. Spanning seventy-eight years, the loneliness, pain and perseverance of two generations, pulled by kites, desperately guard the bottom line of people's hearts. The scam will not disappear, but the kite string must not be broken.
