Broken Wings, the Phoenix Has Nowhere to Roost

He Chunyan, the golden phoenix of Hejia'ao. A face like a noble consort's, with a scar between her brows. Top of her class, she got into college, but her boyfriend hid her acceptance letter at the bottom of a trunk. With her wings broken, she spent her life fighting everyone. She worked as a village teacher, then lost her place at the front of the classroom. She became the women's director, only to be framed for "catching her in the act." She went south to work, where thugs beat her. She broke up her daughter's marriage and took a knife wound to the shoulder. She had no one to rely on, trusted no one, and bowed to no one. When she grew old, she returned to her hometown and opened a daycare. She gave her all to children who were no relation to her. One day, she fell, and a child of just a few years old found a phone and dialed 120. The ambulance's red lights flashed as it headed toward the county seat.
