The Draw of Kesi

A tribute of kesi silk from the Shen family's Yunjifang was flawed: a single blue weft thread had no business being there. Kesi is woven with continuous warps and discontinuous wefts, and every break is a code. Shen Shuran knows what this means, and she knows why Crown Prince Sun Xiahou Chongyan has come in person. Prince Heng lurks in the shadows, while the Grand Tutor's daughter stands in plain sight. The old case remains unsolved, and a new game has begun. She has never wanted anyone's place as empress. What she wants is the thread that someone deliberately altered in the pattern.
