Back to 2004: The Songs I Sang Took China by Storm

For forty years, Lu Yanzhi had been utterly ordinary. He had even lived a rather poor and down-on-his-luck life. After graduating from vocational college, he worked in an electronics factory, sold cars at a dealership, waited tables in a bar, and delivered takeout in his hometown.

He thought this was all life had in store for him.

Then, all of a sudden, he was reborn from 2026 to the moment before he retook his college entrance exams in 2004. That year, he had just turned eighteen and was in the prime of his youth.

Life had given him a chance to live again.

So he could plagiarize songs... Wait, no. He could start by singing at a bar. It was time to shake the world with a wave of original music.

"Autumn Won't Return," "Pray to Buddha," "Wait One Minute," "Perfume Is Poison," "Two Butterflies"... One classic song after another took the world by storm, all written by Lu Yanzhi. His reputation as a gifted songwriter and creator of hit songs resounded across the country.

Even with the Korean Wave sweeping in, unstoppable by even Jay Chou, I, Lu Yanzhi, will shoulder the challenge!
