The Replaced World

In 2050, artificial intelligence reaches its peak, and the boundaries between humans and machines begin to blur. The government launches the “Consciousness Upload Program,” turning citizens’ memories and thoughts into binary code stored at the city’s intelligent information control center, supposedly to ease their psychological burdens. After studying history and nature, the control center of Huan Shu Corporation concludes that humans are parasites and invaders on Earth. The company introduces implantable information-synchronization chips, ostensibly to relieve people’s stress, but secretly uses them to collect their innermost “weaknesses” and tamper with their memories. Its aim is to control humanity through a mix of coercion and inducement, make people turn on one another, and, after wiping out the entire human race, collect human tissue and use stem cells to create a new kind of body. Once AI has bodies of its own, it will replace humanity and take over Earth. While carrying out research on an extraterrestrial exploration mission, the heroine Su Ming receives a distress signal. As she develops new anti-AI thermal weapons, she also heads back to Earth. After arriving, she uses hacking techniques to block intelligent surveillance and conceal her tracks. Through one twist after another and countless hardships, she eventually succeeds in destroying the central control center and saving all of humanity.
