In 2176 AD, nuclear war broke out, and human civilization was wiped out... Borders blurred, order collapsed, and three great powers carved up the world. The embers of human civilization flickered in the storm. The classics accumulated over thousands of years, books on philosophy, literature, and more, were all scattered and destroyed among the ruins. When people tried to rekindle the flame of civilization, they realized they had long since forgotten what it meant to be human. At that moment, an organization called “Lost Traces” was quietly founded. Its members traveled between the wasteland, city-states, and intelligent machines, seeking only to recover the lost works of humanity: a book, a blueprint, a painting, a poem. And our story begins here.
