Would a mental illness get better if you turned into a zombie? Jiang Yu'en pondered the question on a rooftop, then jumped. The answer, as it turned out, was no. Jiang Yu'en became a zombie, but she wasn't quite like the others. Her emotions could serve as an evolution serum, but they also brought a mental plague. Humans called her "contamination," while zombies called her "purification." Later, Jiang Yu'en found two exceptions: One was an uncontrollable creation, born from chaos with a consciousness of its own, belonging only to her. The other was a human spirit that crossed every fear and stigma, determined to love her. When contamination and purification blended and drew close to becoming one, they called themselves the New Humans. Turning into a zombie won't cure mental illness, but breaking free from the constraints and conditioning of the old order can.
