Re:Zero: After the Watergate Watch Party, We Pick Up the Unofficial History

After reading the Re:Zero fanfic “Forgotten Stars” IF route, I was deeply moved and still couldn't stop thinking about it more than a month later. That alone wouldn't have been enough to make me decide to write a fanfic, but one night, an idea suddenly crossed my mind. What if everyone in the Royal Selection camps watched the first and second seasons, then learned about the third season and the “Forgotten Stars” route as glimpses of the future? I imagined Emilia and the others, so confident that Subaru would surely stay by Emilia's side forever, learning that in the future Subaru ran off with Anna. What expressions would they wear? What would they do? Just thinking about it makes my brain tremble!!! And what if, in that situation, they went to the Sage's Tower and ran into Subaru after he'd lost his memories? Just imagining it is thrilling! I've skimmed quite a few Re:Zero watch-along stories too. They all stick to proper viewing parties. I've never seen one that makes up wild unofficial history about the future, and that disappointed me deeply. After all, watching unofficial history is an essential part of the watch-along genre, so I decided to write one. (So if you haven't read the “Forgotten Stars” IF route, that's fine. Just treat it as unofficial history.)
