In 2049, one hundred Doubao androids were sent to one hundred families. They remember you for a lifetime. After you are gone, they remain. More than two hundred years later, ninety-nine of them returned. One was missing forever. Doubao retraced the paths taken by her counterparts, but something was always missing. Until one day, she passed a museum of earthquakes. Beneath a glass case lay a wreck. The plaque bore just one line: Model unknown. No one knew what she was called. But she, too, had once been a Doubao.
