After Becoming a Convict Consort, I Dominate the Court with Lawsuits

Su Mingwei, a PhD in law, transmigrates into a book and finds herself from the start a condemned consort accused of treason.

The case is closed, her confession is signed, the officials have pronounced her guilty, and she is to be executed at noon.

Everyone says she is doomed, at the mercy of others and ready to be cut down by the powerful.

But no one knows that this body now houses a modern mind trained in the finest criminal investigation and courtroom strategy.

A confession extracted through torture? Thrown out in court!

Fabricated evidence from the great clans? Dismantled piece by piece!

A thousand-year-old rule that women cannot bring accusations? Broken without hesitation!

The laws of the Great Jing have been in ruins for a thousand years. Officials protect one another, powerful clans control the courts, and the privileged trample over the people.

Before she arrived, court cases were decided by status, connections, and rank.

From the moment she appeared, the law of the land changed: cases would be judged by evidence and reason alone!

A condemned woman accuses the judge, secures the death sentence for the powerful without a confession, overturns centuries of wrongful convictions, and tears open the clans' dark secrets. The poor cheer her on, the people petition for her, and the court is thrown into turmoil.

The six great clans see her as a thorn in their side. Conservative officials see her as a threat to the moral order. Even the emperor fears the justice she holds in her hands.

The world pursues power, curries favor with the rich, and fears imperial authority.

Su Mingwei stands firm in a corrupt age, holding to one word: law!

She will not debase herself for the powerful, attach herself to the emperor, or get caught up in the struggles of the inner palace.

A condemned consort breaks the deadlock with the law and steadies the court with justice, rising from a prisoner awaiting execution to the Great Jing's foremost legal authority, who can overpower the entire court!
