Orange Flavored Summer

A person will experience many summers in his life. Some summers are so hot and hurried that you forget to turn the page; some summers are dull and uneventful. But only that summer when I was seventeen will stick firmly to the softest place in my memory. It's not intense, it's not grand, and it doesn't even have any earth-shattering stories. There is only the wind, the chirping of cicadas, the setting sun, and the love hidden deep in my heart that I dare not say out loud. There is always a smell in the air - freshly peeled oranges, sweet and slightly sour, like a young crush. It's so sweet that it's cautious, but it's so sour that it's calm. Later, I finally understood: the orange-flavored summer is not a season, but a heartbeat in youth that has not had time to end.
