A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: The Spirit Descending Talisman Begins at Spirit Beast Mountain

No power scaling nerfs. The author brings the brains, you bring the unrestrained fun. A different kind of A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality fanfic.

From the start, protagonist Lin Xie joins Spirit Beast Mountain, teams up with Han Yunzhi and her brother, and awakens the Mortal World Workhorse System.

By checking in every day, he can receive a drop of spirit liquid from the Heaven Palming Bottle, along with rewards as his cultivation realm increases.

What delights Lin Zheng most is the special cultivation technique in the System's beginner gift pack: [Myriad Beast Spirit Command Art].

Lin Zheng can refine the souls of demonic beasts. While others command beasts, he commands their souls. When a beast soul possesses him, his combat power skyrockets, and he gains the beast's innate abilities.

As for the demonic beasts' bodies, they can be made into flesh puppets that continue evolving by devouring enemies.

"This ability is a bit like the Spirit Descending Talisman, isn't it? The talisman needs a high-rank beast soul, and it stops working after a few uses.

But my cultivation technique comes with its own Spirit Descending Talisman from the low ranks onward, letting my combat power soar anytime, anywhere."

After a beast soul possesses him, Lin Xie's physical defense is on par with a body cultivator's.

Opponent: "That kid only knows how to command beasts. We just need to get past his spirit beasts and attack him directly.

What? You're a body cultivator too?"

Han Yunzhi: Big Brother Lin, can you teach me how to command beasts?

Lin Xie: All the demonic beasts in the Human Realm, here I come!

Black Flood Dragon: "Don't come any closer! Am I the only one in all of Tiannan with a pouch? Why are you always fixated on mine?"

"Ha! I'm the wholesale supplier of pouches."

Golden Flood Dragon King: Big Brother Lin, can I not cultivate without a gold-attribute inner core?

"I was kidding. Whether you're the Wood, Earth, Water, or Fire Flood Dragon King, you'll still die."

Ice Phoenix: Do I have to be a spirit pet too?

Silvermoon: Do you provide room and board?
