Starting a Folk-Horror Game with Three Resurrection Coins

[Urban Folklore]

Chen Lingtai is transmigrated into a strange otherworld. Here, there are no Buddhist or Daoist traditions, no established techniques, only fragmented methods for driving out ghosts. People can only fight ghosts with their yang energy, as if a piece of history had been left blank.

With the help of a mysterious pixel-art mobile game, he starts with three resurrection coins and turns paranormal incidents into game chapters. Each time he dies, he returns to half an hour before his death and receives a reward.

By continuously gathering information and deciphering the rules by which ghosts kill, he can eventually clear each chapter and claim its ultimate reward.

As he clears more and more chapters, he discovers that ghosts, of all things, possess knowledge unknown to ordinary people: feng shui and divination, tomb-subduing dark arts, corpse-refining techniques, and more...

Chen Ling slays evil ghosts, breaks tomb curses, exterminates corpse fiends, and cultivates the righteous arts. He lifts the dust from history and restores the world's righteous spirit.

He studies the mysteries of feng shui, rising from a diviner to a yin-yang master.

He obtains the tomb-subduing arts and rises to become an offering to the Fiend God.

He masters corpse-fiend refinement and rises to become a fiend-corpse feng shui master.

He cultivates the righteous arts while wielding dark magic, rising to become the Yin Talisman Celestial Master.

He masters every technique in the world, eradicates every evil spirit under heaven, and ultimately becomes the one and only mortal god.
