The Mage Should Wield the Sword

Eighteen-year-old Lin En came to a world where monsters occupied the wilderness and various races lived together in city-states. He registered as an adventurer in Gray Bridge City with sixty copper coins and an old sword. The system that can display attributes and skill proficiency allows every practice to be traced, but it cannot pay the price of the spell book for him, or block the oncoming claws. In order to survive and gain greater power, he accepted the first commission of a cleanup and began traveling between the town and the wilderness. Learn swordsmanship from the dwarves, buy spell books from the merchants, make friends during the short trip, talk and laugh in a familiar tavern, and continue traveling after separation. Linn exchanged the rewards he earned for knowledge and equipment, and turned the lessons learned from the battle into preparations for the next departure. The sword and spells, which originally belonged to two different paths, gradually cooperated with each other in his hands. From abandoned mills to border fortresses, from mortal city-states to strange planes, he used magic to tear apart enemy formations and used his heavy sword to face powerful enemies. Initially, he just wanted to earn money for his next meal; after that, he wanted to see with his own eyes the distance that his power could reach.
