A Warm Romance in the 1980s: The Cool Dr. Qin Can't Stay Away from Me

In her previous life, Shen Tang married the man she loved, Qin Yu, just as she had always wished. Unfortunately, he abandoned her on their wedding night.

Reborn in the 1980s, she sheds her plump, rounded appearance. Armed with an extraordinary talent for cooking, she decides to get a divorce and set things right, leaving the scheming white lotus and the scumbag to each other so she can live life on her own terms.

Shen Tang rolls up her sleeves and gets to work. She slims down into a great beauty, just waiting for the divorce papers so she can leave and fly free.

Starting from scratch, she opens a little restaurant. Her mother-in-law trusts her, her younger sister-in-law adores her, and her brothers-in-law all compete to lend a hand.

Delicious fried rice, all kinds of pastries, sweet milk tea... She can whip up anything with ease. Before she knows it, her restaurant is famous across the country, and tycoons, politicians, and business magnates are all lining up at her door.

But somehow, she ends up with a freeloader she just can't get rid of.

Shen Tang: "Why hasn't that scumbag gone to find his white moonlight yet? Why is he guarding the kitchen every single day?"

No one knows that the seemingly aloof Dr. Qin is actually a foodie. He refuses to get divorced, even if it kills him.

"Mom, little sis, won't you help plead my case?"

Her mother-in-law says, "I've already taken my daughter-in-law's side."

The woman who transmigrated into a book and is still waiting for the big shot to come find her wonders: Why isn't the story going the way it should?
