The Spoiled Princess Becomes a County Magistrate, and the Whole City Gets Rich

Su Wan, the pampered daughter of a wealthy family, transmigrates and becomes the eldest princess of the Great Xia Dynasty. From the moment she arrives, she’s every inch the spoiled young lady. The food is bad, the clothes are bad, the bed is bad! Nothing is good enough! Su Wan has had enough. She storms into the imperial study. “Father, I want to be a county magistrate!” The Xia Emperor is stunned. The officials are stunned. The common people are stunned, too! Why on earth would she suddenly want to become a county magistrate? And yet the Xia Emperor agrees! When the news spreads, everyone panics and keeps their distance. “Please, just don’t let it be our county!” Once the matter is settled, everyone starts feeling sorry for whoever drew the short straw. “I wonder which county is unlucky enough to get her!” “Heh heh heh...” Qian Shouzhuo, the deputy magistrate of unlucky Yi’an County, reads the news and cries out, “Heaven means to destroy me! Heaven means to destroy me!” The people of Yi’an are even more terrified. The most difficult princess of all is coming to be their magistrate. Will they even survive? Sure enough, the princess first complains about how bad their roads are, then about how ugly their clothes are! Finally, she says their food is worse than pig slop... Just as the rumors say, the princess can’t stand the sight of even a mirror! But what can they do? The princess wants fine clothes, good food, and a comfortable home. They can’t even imagine how miserable their lives will become! Except... Why have the roads been paved? Why have everyone’s clothes gotten nicer? And why do they now get three meals a day? Is this right? Their little county, once pitied by everyone, has become a paradise everyone longs to visit! The other counties: Please, give us a princess magistrate too! Don’t move! That’s our princess magistrate!
