The Savior Is Making Excuses for Being Late Again Today

The apocalypse swept across the world, bringing humanity to the brink of extinction. Only after people with special abilities awakened did the survivors manage to claw a breath of relief from the jaws of despair.

Jiang Ciyou had long held the top spot on the abilities leaderboard. She had saved countless lives from False Forms, and was a beacon of faith to millions.

But she'd recently received an absurd assignment: disguise herself as a high school student and protect her new partner, who was on the verge of a breakdown from combat trauma.

Jiang Ciyou: Sure. I can finally take a breather.

And what happened? She didn't listen to a single class, killed a pile of monsters, carried both their workloads, and her boss never helped her get time off!

In the staff room during evening study hall, the homeroom teacher stared at two unanswered calls, his face dark as ink.

At the door, Jiang Ciyou had just torn a False Form apart with her bare hands and hurriedly thrown on a clean school uniform. She put on a sweet, harmless smile.

“Teacher, would you believe me if I said I just walked a lost old man home?”

Three kilometers away, in the observation room of a rescue station, a white-haired young man in his early twenties let out a world-shaking sneeze.

Until one day, a particularly dim-witted False Form tried to devour the school.

Green vines coiled around the school walls, thick and impenetrable, reaching high into the clouds.

All the students were screaming for help. Even the teachers had turned deathly pale. Hearing the disconnected tone on the phone, one of them sank helplessly to the ground.

Only Jiang Ciyou sighed.

“False Form attack at Rong'an High School. Seraph requests permission to engage.”

Sacred fire danced in her hands, and enormous, holy wings unfurled from her back.

As everyone stared in shock, she slowly rose into the sky.
