Xu Jiu Niang comes from a small, obscure martial arts school and has only rudimentary skills, yet her ambitions reach the heavens. On her first trip down the mountain, she heads to the Green Martial Arts Tournament hosted by the leader of the martial arts world. She also suspects that the current leader is her father and wants to confirm it in person.
Traveling with her is the former friend of her school’s headmaster’s disciple, Han Lin from Kongchan Valley. Han Lin is taciturn, his martial arts skills unfathomably deep, and he cares little for fame or fortune. His master tricked and coaxed him into entering the tournament.
Along the way, the two face plenty of open and covert attacks and make all kinds of strange “friends.” They fight monsters, grow stronger, match wits, and trade barbs. They also discover that the Green Martial Arts Tournament hides an even deeper secret, one that concerns the survival of the entire martial arts world and even the nation itself.
These young people, just beginning their journeys through the martial world, are at the heart of that secret. An invisible web has drawn them together to fulfill the destiny that awaits them.
